Line 7 Marine opens Whangarei showroom
The brand, which is known for its long history alongside New Zealand’s greatest sailing names, has chosen the city for its coastal location, thriving marine industry and proximity to the Bay of Islands.
Coinciding with the opening of the showroom, a three day pop up sale offering up to 40 per cent off retail prices will launch on the showroom’s opening day, 31 March, and run for three days over the weekend.
A bumper prize of $600 worth of Glacier wet weather gear is up for grabs during the opening weekend. In a nod fitting the brand’s marine origins, the fully-stocked showroom is right on the water and a ramp is in build that will enable customers to leap from the showroom into the south Pacific Ocean.
Line 7’s Karma Butler says the strong marine and tourism industries in the region, as well as Whangarei’s general prosperity, make it a perfect location to establish Line 7 Marine’s first national showroom.
“The great quality and technical design of the brand, plus the history Line 7 has with New Zealand sailing greats mean we’re really excited to be bringing Line 7 to Whangarei,” says Butler.
Over the past year, Line 7 Marine has bounced back with a strong global presence after parent company Charles Parsons brought the brand back in house from a licensee. That has included a growing presence through Europe and the Caribbean, as well as domestically; Line 7 has sponsored key regattas and yacht clubs across New Zealand, including the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s Youth Training Programme.
